RV, camper and motorhome trip planning toolbox – The best ever created
Embarking on a two-week adventure from Brisbane to Melbourne in a rented motorhome was a journey our family would never forget. With our RV all packed and ready, we set off from Brisbane, eager to explore the stunning coastal route that lay ahead.
Our first big stop was Warner Bros. Movie World, where the kids were thrilled by the roller coasters and movie-themed attractions. It was the perfect way to kick off our road trip planning, filled with excitement and laughter. Not far from there, we visited the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, where we got up close with Australia's unique wildlife, including kangaroos and koalas.
Continuing our journey south, we found ourselves walking the Rocky Point track, enjoying the scenic coastal views and fresh ocean breeze. The next adventure awaited at Treetops Adventure in Coffs Harbour, where the whole family enjoyed zip-lining through the lush treetops. It was a fantastic mix of adrenaline and nature, adding a bit of thrill to our motorhome travels.
Further along, we made a stop at The National Motorcycle Museum, which was a hit with my partner, John, who is a motorcycle enthusiast. The collection of vintage bikes was fascinating and offered a unique glimpse into Australia's motoring history.
One of the highlights of our trip was visiting the Bulgandry Aboriginal Art Site. We were in awe of the ancient rock engravings, and it provided a wonderful educational experience for the kids about the rich cultural heritage of Australia's Indigenous peoples.
Reaching Sydney, we took a leisurely stroll through the Royal Botanic Garden, soaking in the beauty of the diverse plant life and the iconic views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It was a relaxing day, giving us time to unwind before heading to Jervis Bay for some whale watching with Jervis Bay Wild. The sight of majestic whales breaching was nothing short of magical.
As we made our way further south, we explored the Buchan Caves Reserve. The intricate limestone formations inside the caves were simply mesmerizing, and the guided tour provided fascinating insights into the cave's history and geology.
Finally, nearing the end of our journey, we reached Melbourne. Before returning the RV, we made a stop at Chadstone - The Fashion Capital. It was the perfect place to do some shopping and pick up souvenirs for friends and family back home.
This 14-day coastal road trip in our motorhome was meticulously planned, with each stop carefully chosen to offer a mix of fun, education, and relaxation. Whether you're a first-time RV traveler or a seasoned road tripper, this route is a fantastic way to explore Australia's breathtaking coastline. With a well-thought-out plan and a reliable route planner, this adventure is sure to create lasting memories for the entire family.
