Continuing our journey south, we visited the Sarina Sugar Shed. Here, we learned about the sugar industry and sampled some delicious sweet treats. It was a fun and educational stop that the whole family enjoyed.
As we traveled through Rockhampton, we took a step back in time at the Rockhampton Heritage Village. The kids loved exploring the old buildings and seeing how life was in the past. It was a great opportunity to teach them about history in a hands-on way.
Our next stop was the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. While the kids were entertained with age-appropriate activities, the adults enjoyed a guided tour of the distillery, learning about the history and craft of rum-making in Australia.
A visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was a must on our itinerary. The kids were thrilled to cuddle a koala and feed kangaroos, creating memories that will last a lifetime. The sanctuary's educational programs helped us learn more about Australia's unique wildlife.
We then headed to the beautiful beaches of Noosa, where we spent some time relaxing by the ocean and exploring the famous Fairy Pools. The clear waters and stunning coastal views provided the perfect backdrop for family fun and relaxation.
The excitement continued at Australia Zoo, where the kids were amazed by the incredible animal shows and up-close encounters with wildlife. It was an educational and thrilling experience for the whole family.
Our journey concluded with a visit to the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk. Walking among the treetops gave us a unique perspective of the lush rainforest, and the kids enjoyed spotting birds and other wildlife along the way.
