Our adventure began in the picturesque city of Kelowna, nestled in the Okanagan Valley. After stocking up on supplies, we hit the open road, our motorhome packed with excitement and anticipation.
Grizzly Bear Interpretive Centre Our first major stop was the Grizzly Bear Interpretive Centre. The kids were thrilled to see grizzly bears up close, and the educational talks provided us all with a deeper understanding of these magnificent creatures.
Banff Gondola Next, we headed to Banff and took a ride on the Banff Gondola. The panoramic views of the Rockies were breathtaking, and the kids loved the boardwalk at the top, where they could explore and learn about the mountain ecosystem.
Calgary Zoo In Calgary, the zoo was a hit with everyone. We spent the day wandering through the diverse habitats, from the African Savannah to the Canadian Wilds. The interactive exhibits and playgrounds kept the kids entertained and engaged.
Drumheller Dinosaurs Our journey then took us to Drumheller, the dinosaur capital of the world. The Royal Tyrrell Museum was a highlight, with its impressive collection of fossils and interactive displays. We even went on a dinosaur dig tour, which was a unique and fun experience for the whole family.
RCMP Heritage Centre In Regina, the RCMP Heritage Centre offered a fascinating look into the history and traditions of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The kids loved trying on Mountie uniforms and participating in the interactive exhibits.
Winnipeg Forks Market Winnipeg’s Forks Market was a delightful stop. We indulged in delicious local foods, shopped for unique souvenirs, and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere. The kids had a blast at the nearby playground and splash pad.
Agawa Canyon Tour Train We then journeyed to Sault Ste. Marie to embark on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train. The scenic ride through the canyon was mesmerizing, and the family enjoyed exploring the beautiful trails and waterfalls at the stopover.
Montreal Fort Chambly National Historic Site In Montreal, Fort Chambly provided a fun and educational experience. The kids enjoyed the guided tours and hands-on activities that brought the history of the fort to life.
Quebec Site Traditionnel Huron Onhoüa Cheteke Our visit to Quebec included a stop at the Site Traditionnel Huron Onhoüa Cheteke. We learned about the rich culture and traditions of the Huron-Wendat Nation through interactive exhibits and traditional performances.
Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park (Fundy National Park) One of the most awe-inspiring stops was Hopewell Rocks in Fundy National Park. We explored the ocean floor at low tide and marveled at the towering rock formations. The tides here are the highest in the world and an absolute must-see.
Exploring Nova Scotia As we neared our final destination, we took some time to explore the beautiful province of Nova Scotia. From the charming coastal towns to the scenic trails, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Halifax and Mic Mac Mall Our journey concluded in Halifax. We spent our final days visiting the historic waterfront, exploring museums, and relaxing at parks. The Mic Mac Mall was a perfect spot for some last-minute shopping and family-friendly activities.
