Setting off in our rented motorhome from Stavanger, we embarked on an unforgettable 17-day journey, weaving our way along Norway's stunning coastlines, lush fjords, and towering peaks. Traveling by RV was not only a comfortable way to explore the breathtaking landscapes but also gave us the freedom to pause at hidden gems along the way, where nature and culture met seamlessly.

Our first stop was Kongeparken, a family-friendly amusement park perfect for getting the kids excited about the trip ahead. From there, we made our way to the famous Preikestolen, where we hiked up to one of Norway's most iconic viewpoints. Having a campervan meant we could easily park up for the night and soak in the dramatic scenery after a day of adventure.

Bergen's Fishmarket was a great place to indulge in fresh seafood, a highlight for the whole family. Parking the motorhome nearby allowed us to explore the bustling market and the historic harbor without the hassle of constantly packing and unpacking. Continuing along the coastline, we took the Loen Skylift, offering spectacular aerial views, and then headed to the winding curves of Trollstigen, a drive that made us grateful for a well-planned route. A special highlight of the trip was the journey along the Atlantic Ocean Road, where the motorhome handled the sharp turns and narrow stretches with ease. With our pre-planned stops, we took in the stunning views of the sea and the small islands linked by the dramatic bridges.

Heading further north, Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum was a unique cultural stop where the kids learned about Norway's historical way of life, and we took a step back in time through its open-air exhibits. Then it was time for some adventure at Moskenes Adventures AS—a perfect place for kayaking and experiencing the tranquility of the Lofoten islands.

We continued onward to the Dronningruta hike, a route with a great balance of challenge and reward. Again, our RV provided the ideal flexibility to rest after long hikes and set out at our own pace. Arctic Whale Tours was another highlight of our trip, offering an unforgettable opportunity to spot majestic whales in their natural habitat.

The journey took us past the surreal landscape of Narvik geyser and onward to the Bardu Bygdetun, a traditional Norwegian open-air museum that gave us a glimpse into rural life in the Arctic regions. Finally, arriving in Tromsø, we visited the Arctic-Alpine Botanic Garden, where we marveled at the rare flora thriving in this cold, northern climate.
