Embarking on a 17-day RV motorhome road trip from Vancouver to Whitehorse was an exhilarating journey, packed with diverse landscapes and exciting family adventures.
Our journey began at the Vancouver Aquarium, where the kids were captivated by the marine life exhibits and interactive displays. From there, we ventured to Hell's Gate Airtram in the Fraser Canyon, experiencing the thrilling ride and spectacular views.
In Vernon, Davison Orchards Country Village offered a delightful stop with fresh produce, homemade treats, and farm animals that the whole family enjoyed. Our next stop was Kamloops, a charming city where we relaxed and explored the local parks.
Continuing north, the Spiral Tunnel Viewpoint provided a fascinating glimpse into the engineering marvel of the Canadian Pacific Railway. At the Cave and Basin National Historic Site in Banff, we learned about the birthplace of Canada's national parks and soaked in the stunning natural surroundings.
The Canadian Rockies offered breathtaking vistas and endless outdoor activities. In Jasper, the Hinton Zip Line adventure was a highlight, providing an adrenaline rush for everyone. The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum in Grande Prairie was a hit with the kids, featuring impressive dinosaur exhibits and interactive displays.
As we made our way to Dawson Creek, the Walter Wright Pioneer Village gave us a glimpse into the pioneer life of the early settlers. The Fort Nelson Heritage Museum showcased fascinating local history, with artifacts and exhibits that engaged the whole family.
In Watson Lake, the Northern Lights Centre offered an immersive experience of the mesmerizing Aurora Borealis, leaving us in awe. Finally, we arrived in Whitehorse, where we joined the Nature Tours of Yukon for a guided exploration of the stunning wilderness, spotting wildlife and enjoying the serene landscapes.
