RV route coast to coast-to-coast road trip from Washington DC to San Fransisco

Starting in Washington DC, this 26-day motorhome road trip takes you through some of the most scenic and culturally rich parts of the United States. Your first stop is the Luray Caverns, a stunning underground cave system filled with impressive rock formations and underground lakes. From there, you'll head to Shenandoah National Park, where you can take in breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Continuing along your journey, you'll pass through the Rockfish Gap Entrance Station, which marks the southern end of the Skyline Drive and the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Here, you'll have the opportunity to take in more stunning mountain scenery before moving on to Natural Bridge State Park, which is home to the famous Appalachian Trail.

As you make your way west, you'll stop at the Sugarlands Visitor Center in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you can learn about the history and ecology of the park. Next up is Calico, a former silver mining town that has been turned into a living museum, complete with original buildings and costumed interpreters. The next stop is Disneyland Park in Anaheim, where families can enjoy thrilling rides, meet Disney characters and explore the magic of Disney.

Continuing west, visitors can experience the natural beauty of California 1, a scenic coastal drive that offers stunning ocean views and stops at charming coastal towns such as Pescadero Point, Lone Cypress and Old Fisherman's Wharf. The route also takes travelers to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, where visitors can see marine life up close and learn about ocean conservation.
